Description

This Cornish Cheddar is exquisitely intense yet rounded extra mature cheddar with a smooth, creamy texture. Designed to deliver a slightly crunchy texture; this is due to the formation of naturally occurring calcium lactate crystals which are found in high quality aged cheddars. These appear as white flecks, developing further as the cheese matures, enhancing both the character and the mouthfeel of the cheese.

Please allow for 10% variants on the weight as all of our cheeses are hand made and cut.

Storage & Serving

Keep well wrapped in the fridge but we do recommend removing cheese from the fridge and any wrapping to allow the cheese the ‘breath’ for an hour or two before serving which will allow the full flavour and character of the cheese to come through!

One of the best Cheddars I have tasted.

I am a repeat customer of the Cornish Cheese Company and have tried a number of their products, including Yarg, Brie and Cornish Blue and of course Cheddar, which is my particular favourite, They are all however delicious. Packaged well in insulated bag with cool blocks, they are also boxed. You are able to pick your delivery date, which is particularly handy if your purchasing their gift box selections. My sister bought me a selection of cheeses for Christmas which were demolished ! The 2k round of cheddar was everyones favourite. I've just bought a fabulous selection box to enjoy with friends while watching Cheltenham Races it was a huge success with all ! Can't wait to order more
