Description

Designed to be eaten as a young cheese, Cornish Blue is a very different product from traditional English blue cheeses. Its flavour is mild and creamy, with a dense texture and buttery richness, instead of the ‘salty tang’ common of other traditional blue cheeses it has a gentle sweetness.

Please allow for 10% variants on the weight as all of our cheeses are hand made and cut.

Storage & Serving

Keep well wrapped in the fridge but we do recommend removing cheese from the fridge and any wrapping to allow the cheese the ‘breath’ for an hour or two before serving which will allow the full flavour and character of the cheese to come through!

Lovely and tasty

Further to my previous review when I was disappointed, The Cornish Cheese Company reached out to me and sent some fresh Cornish Blue, which I have received today in perfect condition. It is just like the sample I tasted previously and very flavoursome. I would thoroughly recommend, both in terms of the cheese and the amazing customer service.

Slightly disappointing this year

We’ve been buying this wonderful cheese for a few years now but the latest batch was much more crumbly. It just falls to pieces when you try to cut a slice. I’d also say the flavour seemed stronger, more like a Stilton? We’ve normally always preferred this cheese as it has a more subtle flavour.
