Storage

Keep well wrapped in the fridge but we do recommend removing cheese from the fridge and any wrapping to allow the cheese the ‘breath’ for an hour or two before serving which will allow the full flavour and character of the cheese to come through!

Because our cheese is handmade in small batches, we ship orders on specific days each week.

To receive your order the same week, please place it before midday on Tuesday. Orders placed after this time will be shipped the following week.

You can select your preferred delivery day at checkout, and we’ll dispatch your cheese to arrive on that date.

All of our cheese parcels are cooled with re-usable ice packs and insulated with recyclable packaging.

All orders are sent using DPD’s tracked delivery service. Once your cheese has been dispatched, DPD will send you tracking details so you can follow your delivery.

We highly recommend downloading the DPD app, which allows you to track your parcel, provide safe place instructions, nominate a neighbour to receive your delivery, or reschedule your delivery time slot.

Wax nightmare

It will be out of date by the time I get the wax off

Disappointed

Thankfully I bought this cheese just because I liked the pot and is was in the reduced section in Tesco.

I found the thick wax was really difficult to dig out. I ended up pouring boiling water on it!

Once I managed to get to the cheese I was really disappointed with the taste.

Glad I didn't pay full price, still an expensive little pot though!

Dire

Spent ten mins trying to chisel through the wax to get through to cheese that is now tainted with broken wax. Avoid.

Wax issues

I couldn't actually get through the thick hard wax. I tried everything. My husband took over and eventually got to the cheese. The cheese is delicious however. I bought one for my mum and we took the wax off before we gave it to her!

Dissapointing

This was given to me as a Christmas gift and what a disappointment. The wax top was about an inch thick and very difficult to remove. Also there was a wax coating all around the inside of the jar. Once removed I was conscience of having wax mixed up with the cheese. The cheese tasted of soap and there was no blue veining which I had expected to see. All in all a complete waste of money and I will not be repeating the experience. I should be asking for a refund.

Nice pot, not very nice cheese! Thought i was ordering something special rhem saw it cheaper in Tesco.

Dreadful

What has gone wrong here. Expensive for a start. After struggling to remove the inch thick wax layer to find the 'cheese' its off or something. Never seen, smelt or tasted a blue cheese that bad.

Average

A fairly inoffensive blue cheese, if you don't factor in the high price. Much better options available in the "different blue" category.

Lovely item

Very good cheese in beautiful pot. Arrived on date selected, beautifully wrapped . Would recommend this for a gift.

Great service

I had an issue with the item when arrived on-time but excellent customer service resolved it very quickly and a replacement arrived within a couple of days.

Honest and genuine

Family excited to taste the costly cheese but after broken knives and near personal accident there was only disappointment!

Disaster on the cheese board

Thick layer of wax at least 1 inch on top and a layer round the edges. So hard to remove so cheese was thrown away. Poor value even if we had been to cleanly remove wax.

The cheese itself was so disappointing. Bland and uninspiring with the slight metallic taste you get when a blue cheese wants you to know that it's finished.
I'm sorry, perhaps it's me but I was left feeling underwhelmed and will not be coming back for seconds.

Cornish cheese

I ordered this for a present and was not disappointed at all… I will be ordering myself one now!!! The pot is beautiful , it’s packed inside a box filled with shredded card. It was then packed inside another box and freeze bags. I am very impressed with the overall experience and customer service from the Cornish cheese company and will be ordering lots more from them.

So sweet

I haven’t tasted the cheese yet as it’s for the ‘big day’! It arrived well packaged with a small cool bag to keep it chilled and the pot matches my Cornish blue crockery beautifully. Very happy with my purchase and how well it was delivered.

It’s ok

The wax top took two days to get off and the cheese is hard from the fridge so not easy to eat. Given the faff to get to it I was hoping the cheese would blow me away, but it didn’t. Ultimately, the pit is nicer than the cheese.
