As consumers we increasingly want to know where our food has come from and the processes and miles involved in its production. So here is a whistlestop tour of how we produce Cornish Blue.
Our herd of Holstein Friesian’s produce all the milk that goes into Cornish Blue. They are milked twice a day on our farm on the edge of Bodmin Moor. As you can see the cows like to take full credit for all the awards we have won!
Our cheesemaking production facilities for Cornish Blue are all on the farm, so as soon as the cows are milked the milk goes into the cheese production process having literally travelled a few yards.
Once the cheese is produced it moves to our maturing room until it is ready for you to enjoy.
